  1. Surrendering is a daily act. Sometimes we surrender one area of our lives and realize we “took back” another area and have to actively surrender yet again. Thank God for His grace and knowing we are a work in process.

  2. Day 10
    Poetic Thought

    “I Surrender”

    You are my bless-ed Savior
    I surrender all
    Everything I use to know
Lord God please change it all
    In my heart of worship
    I’ll praise your holy name
I want to live for you forever
Not the fortune or the fame
    Let your will be done
I’ll sign my name on the dotted line
Without you being a reigning force in my life
How will I ever get to the finish line?
    I surrender Jesus
I’ll answer when you call my name
Since I’ve given my life to you
    Nothing has been the same
    I surrender Lord
    All to you I owe
    In my heart of worship
    I’ll never let you go

  3. Surrendering is challenging, especially when you think you know it all. I stand in my own way a lot and then when things blow up in my face I go back to God asking why he left me hanging. The problem is I never gave him the situation to handle. Surrendering partially to God isn’t an option. Partially giving yourself to God could never give him 100 percent. God made us whole and so we need to give that whole right back to him.

    1. Yes, He deserves all of us. Your observation is good, He made is whole, so He wants us whole too (and holy). I think many of us may think that partial submission means we will get partial reward or blessing – which sounds good. But in reality it’s we are practicing full obedience or it’s an act of disobedience. So partial submission is being in disobedience, and reaps those consequences.

  4. If we don’t surrender all to God, how can we expect Him to work on our behalf. He does not want only part of you but all of you. Abraham trusted God and followed His leading without knowing where it would take him. Joseph trusted God’s purpose for his life without knowing things would happen the way they did. The Bible tells us”we cannot serve God and mammon “ We cannot fulfill God’s purpose for our lives while focusing on our own plan. That’s a recipe for failure.

As the ship wandered aimlessly on the dark waters, it noticed a little glimmer of hope shining from the house. It straightened its course and found the safety of the shore.”
