  1. Cash, gold, diamonds, crypto currencies, real estate, precious metals, oil, etc are all commodities which we may aim to acquire to obtain wealth or what many people view as success in life. But as I’ve learned and also taught TIME is our most valuable commodity. It increases in value every day because it becomes more scarce as we let it pass by.

Today’s reading on What Matter Most offers a different perspective. LOVE is really what matters most and we should be willing to trade our most valuable asset, or commodity, for it. Giving up of our time is what really shows that we love other people and also our Father. Where we devote our time and attention to is where our love really is, and God wants us to love Him first, and then also other people. So we must be willing to trade our most valuable asset, time, for What Matters Most, which are these relationships.

  2. Day 16
    Poetic Thought

    “God is Love”

    God is love
    Every meaning comes true
Always keep him in your heart
And he will never leave you
    Show your love with time
As is ticks you’ll be fine
    Learn to love Gods plan
In your life he will take a stand
    God is love
    Every meaning is true
    Always love thy neighbor
Because that’s what God needs you to do
Your love will be a legacy
For years and years to come
    Let love lead you
Until your time here is done
    So what matters most
    Is wrapped in this poem
Love with all of your heart
Until you finally make it home
    God
    Is
    Love

  3. God is love, created love and loved us first. He made us to love all people especially other believers. It’s a lonely life to just love yourself and nobody else, not even the God who created you.The scripture tells us “Love the Lord you God with all your heart , with all your soul and with all your mind. Purpose, time, health and love, these things makes us richer and life more complete. We have to make time for God, the family He placed us into and our spiritual family. God even tells us to love our enemies.

  4. I love what he says about the best way to spell love is T-I-M-E. Thank you to the Light House Community I have really grown in my expression of love towards my spiritual brothers and sisters. Before Light House I would rarely spend time with other spiritual family members conversing, praying, and learning through the Word. I don’t think going to church counts the same as spending time with other believers because the once a week exchanging a smile or shaking a hand is not the same. I agree with Shannell that even the commitment to this 40 day journey of the Purpose Driven Life takes time and is just another way we are obeying His commandment of loving our brothers and sisters. I really enjoy reading the posts and watching the videos of my “spiritual siblings”.

    1. T-I-M-E is how we can express our love. This devotion of time to studying God’s Word, and even sharing on this Purpose Driven Life journey shows the love we have towards Our Father and for each other. I believe the Lord has established this as part of the purpose for each of us, and this journey will unravel some questions we’ve had and propel us all forward.
