That’s a question I’ve asked myself many times.

What should I do about this situation? What decision should I make? How am I going to handle this?

Yesterday, during our Light House session, we began looking at the rich young ruler in Luke 18.

Here’s a man who had so many things people spend their lives trying to achieve.

He was rich. He was young. He had influence.

By the world’s standards, he had it going on!

But he still had a question:

“What shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

And that reminded me of something.

We can spend our lives chasing things we believe will finally make us satisfied, only to discover that something is still missing.

Money can buy many things, but it cannot buy eternal life.

And here’s what really stood out to me.

Although this ruler had some things to learn, he did something right.

He brought his question to Jesus.

I thought about how often I’ve tried to figure things out myself, when I should have gone to the Lord first.

And that’s what I want to encourage you to do today.

Whatever the question is, whatever the situation is, COME TO JESUS.

We don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to Him.
