These chapters have so much in them, as we read through there literally is so much we can comment on. A couple things I would share quickly is that (1) we see that out of all of the 7 days, this particular 7th day which God rested, He blessed that day! It is an important reminder that we can enjoy the blessing of that day when we rest as well. (2) We see how God didn’t allow rain for the grass to grow because He was waiting for man to manage. We all have the responsibility to manage our lives, our affairs, our world. (3) This chapter overall is the end of what we can say is God’s original plan for man. These first two chapters we see how God intended things to be, before man did their own thing and sinned. From these first 2 chapters we should see the original intention of God. Everything afterwards is really His fix for man’s mess up. The Bible would have saved many pages if we just followed the original plan of God 🙂
