This chapter is especially interesting because we get to learn “what happened?”. Man is seemingly in a paradise state, yet something changed. One thing I would point to that shows how the enemy approaches us, or deceives man is the only characteristic that is attributed to him in the beginning. It doesn’t say that he was a liar, or a cheat, or a thief, or even a murderer – things we might think of when we think of evil. What it does say is that he was “subtle”. That is something we today need to watch out for, the subtle attacks of the enemy. Something so overlooked, so seemingly insignificant, yet so detrimental to us that here we see it changed the whole course of man.
