When Adam and Eve sinned it broke the friendship God had with man. Jesus came and died on the cross to make that friendship possible again. We can become best friends with God by being obedient, by loving Him and meditating on His Word. He wants to be in our everyday activities, He wants to know about our problems. I like the idea of the “breath prayers”
because we talk to God anywhere and anytime. “What a friend we have in Jesus “
Jesus Christ reconciled us back to our Father so now we can be friends with Him. Yes, the breath prayers are also known as the “Arrow Prayers” because they are short, direct and to the point. We can do those any time during the day or night.
Day 11
Poetic Thought
“A friend of God”
It’s a privilege to know him
It’s an honor to call him a friend
I could never imagine life without him
He was my first friend
He’s a best friend indeed
He fulfills all of my needs
I’ll tell him all my secrets
And he will share his with me
In prayer I talk to him
I meditate to hear him talk back
He never turned his back on me
And he kept me on the right track
Everyday he is a friend
He’s been there through the strife
Becoming best friends with God
Certainly changed my life
What a friend we have in him
All of our burdens he will bear
He’s no ordinary friend
My God is always there
Yes, what a friend – He is like no other. Beautiful poem. Thank you.
We sing the song “I am a friend of God” but this Day 11 takes it to a whole other level about me being BEST friends with God….comforting, humbling, and empowering!
