  1. Day 13
    Poetic Thought

    “My worship”

My worship is more than Hallelujah and Amen
It’s praising God faithfully..,again and again
    God wants all of me
    All to him I owe
I will lift my voice and sing
Because he loves me, this I know
    Let my worship be authentic
Allow my spirit to come out of its shell
Let my worship be pleasing to God
And let thy praise be a story to tell
I want a worship that is pleasing to God
I need to exhalt his holy name
You can buy all the accessories you want
But remember without the picture it’s just a frame
    My worship is for God
    All to him I owe
    I will Magnify the Lord
    And never let him go

  2. An old gospel song came to mind when I read this chapter.
    “All to Jesus I surrender
All to thee I freely give
I will ever love and trust you
In your presence daily live “
God wants all of you, It’s that simple. He gave us emotions so we can worship Him with our whole heart not halfheartedly.
The Bible tells us “ man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart”
We cannot create our own image of God and worship that, remember the Israelites what they did in the wilderness when they made gods or their perceptions of God and look what happened to them.
Our whole existence is to live for God and not ourselves.

Another song we can listen to is
    My Worship – Phil Thompson

  3. I relate this chapter to the concept of pattern interrupt. We should be worshiping in different ways to break up the monotony and keep us in the moment as Robyn pointed out. Once again this book is changing my perspective!

As the ship wandered aimlessly on the dark waters, it noticed a little glimmer of hope shining from the house. It straightened its course and found the safety of the shore.”
