   Poetic Thought

   “Relationship Renewal”

   I’m sorry if I hurt you
   I never meant for things to be this way
   I talked it over with God and this is what he wanted me to say..

   I miss the times of fellowship
   I miss the times we shared
   I had to remove the log from my eye
   So I can let you know how much I care

   We need to attack the problem
   And not attack one another
   I told you the other day I needed you
   You are my sister and my brother

   Let’s restore our broken fellowship
   We will need to talk to God before we do
   I just couldn’t wait another day
   To say how much I love you

   So, let our spiritual maturity begin
   Let’s not wait another day
   Christ wants our family to be known for the love we have for each other
   And I wouldn’t want to have it any other way

      Restoring Broken Fellowship is important to God, so it is important to us as well. Sometimes, as you said, just saying “sorry”. Realizing that there is some error on our part too, it’s not just them that is wrong. It takes at least two, so there is something I can apologize for. Even if that is just the spark to restore the relationship, it is worth it. This eternal family bond is much more important than my feelings. It takes that spiritual maturity to realize that.

2. Reconciliation should be our focus at all cost. Resolution may never happen. Whenever there is anything dealing with humans there will always be occasional conflict because God made us unique with different personalities. I believe He made us like that with the goal of helping us to grow spiritually because with reconciliation of differences brings us closer to Him….which should be our “soul” desire.
