Day 24 – Transformed By Truth

  1. Day 24
    Poetic Thought

    “The truth”

    I’ve been transformed
    No more hiding
    I’ve learned to conform
I’m taking Gods word and I’m leaving on a trip
A trip through seas with just he and me
Digesting my bible, piece by piece
Peacefully I’m seeking a greater life through truth
Looking back on childlike things from my youth
Moving forward in the direction that honors Gods word everyday
Soaring through life with the truth as God leads my way
I was starving, and…I could never feel fulfilled
All the weight gained… still hungry, too weak to make it up that hill
All along I needed to be fed, from Gods word
I silenced distractions, and Gods voice was all I heard
So thank you father God for always keeping it real with me
Ever since I’ve been transformed by truth I’ve become a better me

  2. Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” God’s word is a light to our path for living in this dark world. Without His word to guide us we will stumble. His truth is more powerful than our opinion. His word teaches us the truth. We must be doers of the word and not just hearers only. This chapter reminds me of the parable of the sower. We have to be the seeds that fell on good ground. Once the seed of the word of God is sown only time will show how our faith will grow and develop.

  3. Wow! He says read the Bible 15 minutes a day and you will read it completely through in a year. We spend so much time wasted on other tasks and neglect the one that will enrich our lives, help us dealing with others, and guide us to fulfilling. our purpose. This statement makes me want to re-prioritize my day to day activities.
Love also the statement that daily Bible reading will keep you in the range of God’s voice. So many times we long to hear from God but we forget He readily speaks to us through His word.

    1. Something small is all it takes. Being consistent with a small thing yields great results. Reading just 15 minutes, now we all can devote that time to Our Father, can’t we? He gives us 1,440 minutes each day – just read for 15 of those minutes that He gave us. We can do it.
