Day 26 – Growing Through Temptations

  1. Wow he says Satan is predictable. Same tactics over and over. If we could just get a handle on our thoughts because he says temptation begins in the mind and NOT the circumstance. Be mindful of what we allow to enter our thoughts and what we meditate on even if it is unintentional……
In this age of social media, we need to really be cautious and as always prayerful.

    1. Same tactics from the beginning of time. To know this is to be forearmed. We can now prepare for the enemy’s tactics and as the Word says, resistt the devil and he will flee from us. We can make him flee! Have him on the run. The power of the Word.

  2. Day 26
    Poetic Thought

    “Temptation”

I am tempted to do bad
    Tempted to do wrong
At times it feels like I’m singing the same ole song
The closer I get to God
I feel more attacks on me
I know I have the strength to overcome temptation if I just let things be
    God is watching
He’s waiting to see what I will do
The next time temptation knocks on my door
    It simply won’t get through

  3. No matter how spiritual you are you can fall into temptation. Temptation can happen anytime and often when we least expect it. The reason the enemy tempt us is because he knows of the great things God wants to do in our lives. The best time to pray about temptation is before you fall into it. No one is immune to temptation. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “ No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

    1. That was a very good point – the reason the enemy uses temptation is because he knows we have great purpose to accomplish. That is why this teaching is necessary for all of us on this journey to learn about Our Father’s purpose for our lives. We should realize that the temptation is a sign we are on the right path and don’t allow for the temptation to derail or distract us from doing what the Lord wants us to do. See it as a positive that we are doing something good so the enemy is mad. When the enemy is mad, then Our Father is glad, and we should be too 🙂
