Poetic Thought
“Defeating Temptation”
With God all things are possible
Defeating Temptation may be an obstacle
But it’s not improbable
Some things in your life may not be easy to get through
Remember to call on your Godly friends who are there to help you
You will get through this
You will be set free
Temptations are typical
But God always has new strategies
New techniques
New ways to combat
Since I’ve been learning my scriptures I’ve been able to fight back
I told Satan to get thee behind
Learned to trust in God
And now everything is fine
Once again we are reminded the importance of scripture memorization. Rick Warren says quick access to those “arrow prayers” whenever temptation arises. Once we have them stored up we can shoot them at the devil when battling a temptation. Let’s all challenge ourselves to memorizing one verse per week……
