Day 30 – Shaped For Serving God

  1. Day 30
    Poetic Thought

    “Something to live for”

I wake up each day with a new meaning to living
Trying to give way more than what I’ve been giving
Trying to find more ways to maximize my days
Trying to serve God in each in every way
God took his time when he put me together
My gifts were presented at birth, to last me forever
See, he gave me something to live for
    I can give him more
Satisfying the Lord each and every time I walk out of my door
He gave me something to live for
    I shall go explore
All the mercies he bestowed upon me
    I’ll praise him forever more
I was shaped for serving God
    What a wonderful feeling
    Unwrapping my spiritual gifts
Each gift being a spiritual healing
I’ve been feeling like I can give him more
Woke up with purpose, I have something to live for

  2. I struggle a lot some days with the feeling of just “why am I here”. This chapter reminded me that I have a purpose and I have something to live for. When I have times of trouble, I will hold this chapter near to pick me back up.

    1. Definitely, you are here for a purpose. We all are – and we all have at times questioned what or why that is. But that’s the point of all this, We don’t know by ourselves. That’s why we have to go to Him. Glad to have you sharing and SHAPEing with us!

  3. We were put here on earth to serve God and the way to serve God is by serving others. We were made to make a contribution not just to consume. Life is a preparation for eternity. There are two things we can do with our lives, we can waste it or invest it. The cemeteries are filled with unused gifts and talents that were given by God.

  4. This chapter makes me think about how we feel when we give someone a gift that is not appreciated. Like at Christmas, when we are all opening gifts we get excited when we see the excitement of the recipient of the gift. We feel great when they love the color or it fits just right or when they say “this is always what I’ve wanted”. God must feel this way when we recognize our gifts and use it to bring Him glory.
