Day 42
Poetic Thought
“Pleasing God”
I have the desire to rely on God and follow his lead
Acceptance from others and what they think is something I don’t need
My garden blossomed beautifully because I planted my own seeds
I kept a Godly pace and gained victories without someone else’s speed
Living a life of what other people feel
Isn’t even real
So I got down to kneel
And asked God to help me heal
From all the times I searched for outside approval, and yet I still felt unfulfilled
I need my faith to grow
I need everyone to know
That I will walk in my own shoes
Because my purpose was to please God
It was never to please you
Wow! Where was this chapter when I was a teenager? Or even in my twenties? God should be the only one we strive to please. We should never look to humans to validate us.
