There was such a powerful statement in this chapter that I don’t want us to overlook. It reads, “Everything created by God reflects His glory in some way”. That means Hs glory is all around us. If you want to see God, just look all around – see His works, see His creation, see His glory all around! It is evident, if we just STOP to Meet God, we see His power, His beauty, His variety, His wisdom, His creativity, His variety, His organization. We must be mindful that we should also display His glory as well, when we operate in His purpose for our lives.
Stopping to meet God is one of the greatest things we can do for ourselves. Especially when we want to honor God and relish in his Glory. Today, I decided that I will take a moment and give God praise and worship. He is worthy of all that I have, and all that I am.
Day 7
Poetic Thought
“Glory to God”
Glory be to God
For he is worthy of my praise
All that I have in this life
Is because my father God made it that way
I’ll honor the Lord
And give glory unto him
I’ll do everything asked of me
Without resistance or grim
I will spread the good news
Of all that God has done
For the world needs to know
Of all the battles we’ve won
I will worship the Lord
I’ll live up to that responsibility
I could never thank him enough
For all that he has done for me
I will enjoy the Lord
He is the reason for everything
When my soul cried out
He gave me a new song to sing
So this is for God’s people
I share this with you
Let’s worship him together
And tell the world about what God can do
He is the reason for everything
Everything is from him
Even if I had a thousand tongues
I would still want to thank him again
Without all of God’s glory the world would look so dismal. We were created to bring honor and glory to God. Even the smallest of things like saying something nice to someone. We should worship God not out of a sense of duty but because we love Him and want to please Him. We should also give glory to God by serving others with the gifts and talents that God gave us. We want to hear Our Father saying “well done”.
Yes, hearing those words “Well Done” should be our goal in life. As the author shares in this chapter, we can give glory to God in so many different ways and be pleasing to Him. We shouldn’t feel limited, but see how many ways we can glorify Him. And as you said, sharing our gifts and talents with others is definitely one of the ways.
