Scripture:
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)
We all need support in life. It’s comforting to know that we are not meant to go through life alone. God designed us to be interdependent, created to rely on each other in various ways. From the very beginning, when the Lord took from Adam’s side to create Eve, it was a sign that we are not complete by ourselves—we need each other.
However, the reality is that people will disappoint us. Others may fail to provide the support we need, and even we sometimes fail ourselves. It’s in these moments that we must look beyond human strength for help. We need something more, a greater support that never fails.
Feeling alone can be overwhelming. Though we sometimes want to isolate ourselves and face our challenges alone, this is not God’s intention for us.
The Lord speaks:
“I never wanted you to be alone. I am your Father, and I am always with you. That is My promise to My children—no matter what, I will never leave you or forsake you. The world cannot give you this assurance, but I can. I am with you always, even to the end of the earth. This truth gives you peace and the strength you need to handle any situation in life. Yes, it is good to have people in your life, but it is far more important to know that I am with you. I will comfort you, uphold you, strengthen you, provide for you, and protect you. I will love you, even when you feel unworthy of it. I am always on your side, never against you. I am the one in your corner.”
Reflection: When have you felt alone or unsupported? Remember that even when others fail, God’s presence and strength are constant. Reflect on His promise to be with you always, and let that assurance bring you peace.
Prayer: Father, thank You for never leaving or forsaking me. Help me to rely on Your presence and strength, especially when I feel unsupported. Remind me that You are with me always, giving me everything I need to face life’s challenges. Amen.
