We all want to succeed. But have we ever stopped long enough to ask: Who defined success for us? For some, success means financial security. For others, it may be
As the ship wandered aimlessly on the dark waters, it noticed a little glimmer of hope shining from the house. It straightened its course and found the safety of the shore.”

Everything can be done to the glory of God and worship Him while doing it. That is a powerful statement that reshapes our entire thought of our activities and living. Everything we do, EVERYTHING we do (repeated for emphasis!) is to be done as if we are doing it towards Our Lord, and also having dialog with Him while we do it. He is always available to us because He is omnipresent (always present). As we do, as unto Him, it will transform the actions we perform, transform how we think and feel as we do those actions, and then it will also definitely transform the results of our actions too.
Now knowing everything I do in life should be for God…allows me to become more purposeful. Today after reading I realized in order to do everything as if it’s for God is to be living in purpose. The moment you feel it’s not for God.. it’s just simply not your purpose.
This chapter was definitely inspirational and I’m glad I read it early in the morning so I can be conscious of the continuous opportunities for worship this day will bring. We hear songs like “Here I am to Worship” and seems like we have to assume a special stance or be in a certain setting to worship God. Inspiring and motivating chapter!
Yes I agree, reading in the morning for me allows me to extract all of the goodness of the teaching throughout the day, and then put it into immediate application. Inspiring each moment of my living while here on earth. I am here to worship Him 24/7.
Day 8
Poetic Thought
“Gods Pleasure”
Let my worship be pleasing
In Gods sight
Let the power of my voice praise the Lord
With all of my might
I was living in darkness
But God let there be light
I want my praises to be pleasing
In Gods sight
Worship is my life
I was planned for Gods pleasure
During times of trouble
My father is the only one who can make it better
I’ll sing songs….., I’ll pray……, and be still
I’ll give all of my worship to God
Until my praise runs over and spill
My pleasure and Gods pleasure
Are two different things
Gods pleasure is what matters
And so my praise is my offering
My offering to God
Pleasing in his sight
I was planned for Gods pleasure
And I oblige, because with Him
Everything is alright
Thank you Lord!
Awesome! Thank you Shannell.. your words bring the day’s teaching to another level. Our pleasure is not what is most important, but to be pleasing to Our Father in heaven. When He’s pleased, my life purpose is being fulfilled.
